I'd install all of these: Chipset driver: Peripherals metadata: And, I'd also look elsewhere on the unit for a second model number that better identifies which hardware is included in your unit as Sony is well known for double modeling their laptops and desktops and showing only limited driver offerings for one model or the other. And since I can find no USB drivers or filters for that particular model number, it's likely listed under another model so if those drivers above do not resolve the issue we would need to pursue that avenue. You might be best off contacting Sony support directly with your model number for assistance. If there is an express service tag number, or something similar, that would be helpful as well.
1.) The device manager shows a yellow flag on Other Devices MAss Storage Controller, driver not installed. PCI bus 10,device 3, function 2. Nothing is useful at SONY. This machine was running VISTA. 2.) My Webcam does not work and may be related to this PCI bus install. I cannot figure this out. Some of the VISTA version software and drivers from SONY will install as Administrator but the USB Video Devicedriver and PCI bus show the same driver. The MAss Storage Controller shows as not installed, code 28; Problem code: 0000001C. I just don't know what to do.
There is no listing in the program files for any webcam or USB Video Device. Sony's forum site has not been useful and others complaint of similar problems with no answer posted. Can someone help me? TIgerWizard (whose wizard seems broken on this one). Hi, Method 1: I would suggest you to update the drivers for the webcam in Windows Vista compatibility mode and check if that helps. You may download the drivers from the following link. Refer the following link to install the drivers in Windows Vista compatibility mode.
‘Make older programs run in this version of Windows’ Method 2: Update the drivers for the hardware devices which are not working and check if that helps. Refer the following link to update drivers. ‘Update a driver for hardware that isn't working properly’.
